Allegro moderato<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>About the composition \u2018The Restless\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Villads\u2019 work is based on the play *De Hvilel\u00f8se* (2001) by Eva Littauer, which, in three scenes, tells the story of the family\u2019s origins and its cruel downfall.<\/p>\n<p>The instruments reflect the three characters in the play. The characters have different names in each scene, but play the same roles: the embittered husband (cello), the depressed wife (violin) and the young, restless son (piano).<\/p>\n<p>Trio Lingo:<\/p>\n<p>Simen Kraggerud (piano)<\/p>\n<p>Villads Littauer Bendixen (violin),<\/p>\n<p>Lara Biancalana (cello)<\/p>\n<p>Villads Littauer Bendixen (b. 2001) is a Danish violinist and composer. He is a postgraduate student at the Malm\u00f6 Academy of Music. He began his studies in Sm\u00e5land and continued his training in Berlin, where, between 2011 and 2020, he was a visiting student at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik \u201cHanns Eisler\u201d under Michael Erxleben and Zoya Nevgodovska, whilst also studying at the C. Ph. E. Bach High School.<\/p>\n<p>After studying at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, he went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen under Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and Peter Herresthal. He is currently studying on the Artist Diploma programme at the Malm\u00f6 Academy of Music under J\u00f6rgen Svensson.<\/p>\n<p>As a violinist, he has taken part in masterclasses given by leading musicians such as Vilde Frang, Milan Vitek and Dora Schwarzberg. As a composer, he is a student of Bent S\u00f8rensen.<\/p>\n<p>He has won several prizes in international competitions, including second prize in DR\u2019s *Vidunderb\u00f8rn*, a gold medal in *Berlingske Tidende*\u2019s classical music competition, and first prize in the Hungarian Games and *Jugend musiziert*. With Trio Lingo, he has also won third prize in the Rued Langgaard Competition and a multi-year scholarship from the Lysgaard Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Villads has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe and the USA, and has served as concertmaster with, amongst others, the Polstj\u00e4rnepriset Symphony Orchestra at Berwaldhallen and the C. Ph. E. Bach Youth Orchestra at the Konzerthaus Berlin. He performs regularly at leading venues in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>His artistic profile is characterised by a strong commitment to contemporary music.
