Ulla Simonsson lives at Olarsgården, a lush green idyll dating back to the late 1600s. She grew up with agriculture, life and movement, proximity to laughter and a strong sense of community. "Physical work and cohesion have characterised me as a person and form the basis of who I am and how Olars Ulla is run today."
From an early age, Ulla's creativity and the longing of her hands found expression in silversmithing, interior design and painting. Soon Ulla discovered the world of textiles and the circle was complete. "The spirit of farming culture is still alive, we stand up for each other and work towards the same goal, but instead of growing potatoes and burdening the earth, we make clothes of the highest quality."
Today, the farm is a place where she lives and creates in symbiosis with nature. Ulla works in seclusion in the bosom of nature, and we certainly find a selection of blissful pieces of our mother earth in her adorable creations, year after year.
