It all started at a kitchen table in Sundbyberg in spring 1996. Friends Anett Jorméus and Susanne Liljenberg were living the life of small children, with all that entails. They wanted to simplify their lives, so they had time to live. With these words, they built a lifestyle store specialising in function and storage, with a neutral colour scheme. They built an inspiring store where you, the customer, can discover lots of functional and sustainable products and use them in your own way to suit your home or workplace. In May 1997, the first Granit store opened at Götgatan 31 on Södermalm in Stockholm, since then we have grown into a chain that is present in Norway, Finland and Germany in addition to Sweden.
