The optician's shop is located in the Odd Fellow Palace at Gustav Adolfs Torg 51, a building dating from the early 1900s. The premises include an examination room, contact lens room and retail space. Despite the fact that we are located on 34 m2, the premises feel both modern and spacious. We have the award-winning architect Jonas Lindvall to thank for this. The ceiling uses panels lit with indirect lighting, which breaks up the physical barriers in each room. Another solution is to emphasise the verticality of the space, for example through our three-metre high door.
The premises are something out of the ordinary, just like the store manager Rasmus Ohlsson. He has been running the store under the auspices of Hagelins Optiks since July 2017. Rasmus has a deep relationship with the Hagelin family. He worked as an optician's assistant under Bernt Hagelin and studied at high school and university with Gustav Hagelin. This made him the obvious choice when Hagelins Optik was looking to hire its first employee. Rasmus has in equal parts characterised and maintained the spirit that we strive for.
