Bastion Theatre House

Bastionen is a unique stage for the independent performing arts in Malmö. The venue brings together the city's and the region's professional performing arts organisations. Here, theatre, dance, performance, music and meetings between art forms are created. Every year we have about thirty independent groups that perform their productions here. For you as an audience, it is close to a new experience! We do not conduct any artistic activities of our own, but are fully focused on serving as a promotional platform for the independent performing arts. At Bastionen, professional performing artists have the opportunity to take part in resources that focus on the artistic process. Here they have the opportunity to perform, rehearse, develop projects, hold workshops or use premises and resources in other ways as needed.
