Moneybrother is embarking on an extensive tour this autumn - and it will be a double celebration. 20 years after the style-forming album "To Die Alone", a new album is being released, sprung from the same musical world. On 11 October he comes to Malmö for a concert at Slagthusets Teater!
When Anders 'Moneybrother' Wendin released 'They're Building Walls Around Us' in 2005 - the first single from his second album, 'To Die Alone' - it was done. It was a done deal. The soulful strings, the driving rhythm, the raw vocals and the remorseful pleading lyrics hit a whole country right in the heart. On the foundation laid by the excellent debut "Blood Panic" was placed an album that was everything the debut was, but more. More emotion, more soul, more darkness and more light. "To Die Alone" was considered by many to be the best album of that year and Anders Wendin was thrown on a hysterical tour with over 100 gigs (!) in just one year.
It's been 20 years since "To Die Alone" was released, but the album's punky, soulful energy vibrates as strongly now as it did then. After celebrating with two grand concerts at the prestigious Göta Lejon in March, the party continues - first with a tour in both Germany and Austria and then in Sweden. In conjunction with the tour, Moneybrother will also release their first album in English in 13 years - a disc born out of the same vibrant sound as "To Die Alone".
Expect a vibrant live show filled with new and old classics and a little extra focus on the To Die Alone album.
