The Waterboys, fronted by Mike Scott, have performed several sold-out and acclaimed concerts in Sweden over the years. With the new album "Life, Death and Dennis Hopper" in the luggage, one of the world's best live bands returns for a long-awaited concert in the Theatre on 3 November!
The Waterboys are one of the world's best live bands, with an unrivalled catalogue of songs including 'The Whole Of The Moon', 'How Long Will I Love You', 'This Is The Sea' and 'Fisherman's Blues'. This year, the band is also releasing a new album, 'Life, Death and Dennis Hopper', an elaborate conceptual work that features guest appearances by such greats as Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple and Steve Earle.
Few bands have evolved, changed and varied as much over their lifetime as The Waterboys. Led by Scottish singer and guitarist Mike Scott since the 1980s, the band has undergone many member changes over the years. The current line-up consists of keyboardists Brother Paul and James Hallawall, Aongus Ralston on bass and Eamin Ferris on drums.
At the concert, audiences can expect music from across the band's career; from the early 'big music' era and the folk-inspired 'Fisherman's Blues' to the cross-genre albums that have followed since 'Modern Blues'.
We look forward to welcoming The Waterboys back to town this autumn!
