Oktoberfest - With a Skåne flavour

Slagthuset proudly presents "Oktoberfest - mit skånsk gefühl" - an evening where German tradition meets Scanian cosiness! On 3 and 4 October, Nic Schröder and Pontus Stenkvist invite you to a musical journey that takes you from Bavaria's hop-scented landscape, all the way up to Skåne's golden rapeseed fields. The whole thing is framed with pomp and circumstance by Sweden's most riveting brass band; Blåset från Kattegatt! Hoist the festive sail and take a seat at the long tables, let's go to Bavaria!

Nils Holgersson has turned the compass inside out and jumped on the migratory birds southwards towards Munich! Prepare yourselves for a musical German schlager cavalcade intertwined with arm-crossing gung and languorous "mitsingen"! There will be singing and toasting in all German dialects, such as Danish and Scanian, as Nic Schröder and Skåne's most musical archaeologist, Pontus Stenkvist, dig into our Germanic musical roots.

The eminent, hungry brass band "Blåset från Kattegatt" has loaded the brass with the most ompigious melodies of southern Germany and is ready to accompany the Slaghuset's well-filled, clinking sealds in several rounds.

As a finale, there will be Scanian rock'n'roll in a big band costume when Nic Schröder & Blåset from Kattegatt flirt with the dream of Kal P Dal having his own Las Vegas show in Hamburg!

Nic Schröder
The master of all elements! During his solid career, he has been seen in both TV and film and heard all over Sweden with the summer record "Hej Hej Monika". In the eyes of many, Nic is today synonymous with "Kal P Dal" through his acclaimed participation in "Kal P Dal - A rock musical" and he has done countless interpretations of both Kim Larsen and the unnamed on rock stages across the country.

Pontus Stenqvist
Perhaps Skåne's most highly recognised fiddler. A living jukebox, a music encyclopaedia and the evening's conductor. His German repertoire ranges from revue to schlager, hard rock to synth. Scorpions, Scooter and Siw Malmkvist, it doesn't get more German than that!

The wind from the Kattegat
An untamable ten-man orchestra with full blast. In recent years, you have been able to see them in a variety of contexts, not least in connection with the Swedish national football team's home matches where they have been a great success as arena entertainment. We can't wait to unleash their great joy of playing and captivating energy at Slagthuset, as far from lumpy blowing as you can imagine!
