Christmas in the City
Christmas in the City
There's a lot going on in the city centre at Christmas time. In addition to the Christmas market on Gustav Adolfs Torg and all the beautiful Christmas lights that brighten up life, the atmosphere is spread throughout the city. The shops are decorated, the smell of mulled wine and burnt almonds fills the streets and everywhere there is something to experience for both young and old. On this page we collect all the Christmas events in the city centre. Everything from activities and cosy occasions to socialise to opening hours and practical information. Keep your eyes open, the page is constantly updated with everything that happens during Christmas.

Mickey & Helium are back in town! This time with a Christmas adventure. The digital treasure hunt will take you around Gustav Adolfs Torg and the Christmas market.
The digital treasure hunt will be available at Gustav Adolfs Torg and can be played between 27/11-21/12.
Here's what you need to do to take part in the digital Christmas gift hunt:
Treasure hunting is digital and completely free of charge. All you need is a smartphone and internet access.
Once you have arrived at the Christmas Market, look for the start sign for the treasure hunt. You will find the starting sign in the shop window at Gustav Adolfs Torg 8, next to ECCO.
Scan the code on the start sign to download the app and then scan the same code again to start the treasure hunt.
The treasure hunt is on! The whole family is now making their way around the square in search of the markers on the ground. When you find a marker, scan it with your phone to get a clue about where the next marker is, all the way to the treasure!
Please note that in some cases, the app may be difficult to use on older or non-updated phones. If this happens, another device may work better.

Here's how it works:
Go on a discovery tour together with Malmö City! With the help of your phone, you will be guided to places in the city centre where you will find different objects in the theme of your choice. Princesses, superheroes or space rockets.
The treasure hunt starts at Gustav Adolfs Torg 8a and leads you on a short tour of the city centre. You walk from Gustav Adolfs Torg up towards the pedestrian street, turn onto Per Weijersgatan and then down Engelbrektsgatan towards the cemetery.
