During spring we move out, outdoor cafés open and it's time for Malmö City's annual Våryra! On this page we have collected everything that belongs to spring. See you in the city centre!

Spring acid in the City

On 11 April, between 11.00 and 16.00, it's Våryra in Malmö City.

During Våryran, we activate the whole City. There are activities for both young and old and something for all interests.
During Våryran this year you will find activities at The main square, Södergatan, Lilla Torg, Södertull, Davidshall, Södra Förstadsgatan, Triangle Square and Möllevångstorget. Here we have gathered all the information about Våryran and you will find all the programme items below.

Getting to Våryran

You can get to Våryran by bus, car or bike! Read below about the easiest way to get to City.

Via public transport
It's easy to get to Malmö to visit Våryran. If you are travelling by train, get off at Malmö C or Triangeln. If you are travelling by bus, we recommend that you get off at Gustav Adolfs Torg, Triangeln, Davidshall or Möllevångstorget. Read more and plan your journey at Skånetrafiken.

By car
If you are visiting us by car, there are several car parks in the City. During Våryran on 11 April, you can park for free at Petri P-hus between 10:00-18:00. You can find more parking options here.

The main square

Police & Emergency Services
At Stortorget, you can meet the city's police and firefighters. Take a look inside the cars and ask curious questions.

The police is on site 11.00-16.00
The emergency services is in place 11.00-12.30

Våryran Sports Zone
During the day, Stortorget will be transformed into a sports zone filled with activities for sports-loving children and young people. Try out the different sports, meet your idols and discover new talents.

The sports zone is open between 11.00-16.00

At Våryrans Sportzon you can meet Malmö FF, FC Rosengård Dam, FC Rosengård 1917, Malmö Redhawks, HK Malmö, MAI & FIFH.

Malmö FF

11:00-14:00: MFF in the community informs.
11:00-14:00: The MFF Shop moves to the square with trix competitions.
12:00-13:00: Meet & Greet with Izzy, Alexia and Mayar.
14:00-16:00: Play football with Night Football on the inflatable football pitch.

FC Rosengård Women
12:00-14:30: Meet & Greet, meet your favourite players and get your autograph books signed.
13:00-14:00: FC Rosengård Dam takes place on the inflatable football pitch.

FC Rosengård 1917
Kick the ball and compete against one of the first team players for the chance to win two tickets to the next home game on 25 April.
12:00-13:00 FC Rosengård Herr takes place on the inflatable football pitch.

Malmö Redhawks
Test your hockey skills, show off your puck skills and score as high as you can on their technical rink. Radhawks mascot Hawkan will be on hand to cheer you on!

HK Malmö
At HK Malmö you can measure how hard your throw is, take quizzes and challenge the players to table games.

In addition, you will be able to get autographs and take selfies with the players.

FIFH Malmö Parasport
Come and challenge world star David Olsson in table tennis! Watch FIFH's visually impaired players play 5-A-Side (blind football) and test their wheelchair obstacle course, great prizes promised.
11:00-12:00 FIFH takes place on the inflatable football pitch.

MAY
Meet the elite athletes and compete against them in sprints. You can also compete for tickets to RUN Malmö, a brand new race.

Södergatan

Fashion show
The city centre's shops take to the catwalk to showcase spring news and trends. Get new inspiration for your spring wardrobe. The City shops will be running the fashion show at 12.00 & 14.30.

Live music & beauty lounge
During the day, the street will also be filled with great music from our fantastic DJ Mr Jean Benetone. On Södergatan we will also build a Beauty Lounge. On site you will find Len Hud with skin analyses, tests and competitions. The Shave Cave will be on site between 13:00 and 15:00 with styling tips and simple beard care.

Looking for a new style? Martina, Personal Shopper from Lindex Södergatan will be on site between the fashion shows, 13:00-14:00 & 15:00-16:00. If you book during Våryran, you get 20% discount on your purchase.

Live music in the City

Little Square
Lilla torg is filled with lovely tunes during the day. Sit down on an outdoor terrace and enjoy the spring sun and great music.

Södertull
The whole of Södertull will be gilded with live music all day. On site and playing nice music is The Pink Panthers, consisting of Resin & Vetch, perfect for al fresco dining in the spring sunshine.

At 12.30, 13.30 & 14.30 there will also be a line dance performance by Country Line for Life.

Music parade through the City
Bateria Malmö will be heard all over the City as they go drumming from Triangeln down to Stortorget. They start at Triangeltorget at 13.00, stop at Victoriateatern and then continue down to Optimistorkestern at Stortorget.

Gustav Adolf Square

International Food Festival
With around 40 food stalls from 23 different countries, you can experience the vibrant, multicultural atmosphere and enjoy delicious street food from around the world.
On site 7-12 April.

Table tennis with world record holder
During the Spring Tour, you'll have the chance to play table tennis with and maybe learn a few tricks from the world record holders The Spin Duo.

Bouleskola with Boulebar
Boulebar is moving out of its premises on Drottningtorget down to Davidshall. Come and learn to play boule with them.

Painting with Mats Milhamre
Let your creativity flow as you stand among the greenery and lovely atmosphere of the square. Come and paint Malmö motifs with Mats Milhamre.

Södra Förstadsgatan

Face painting & balloon twist
At the finger of the sun, all children can get face painting or a balloon animal to take home. What do you want to be, a butterfly or a tiger? Both face painting and balloon twisting are open between 11.00-16.00.

Ice Princess Elsa
Get the chance to meet the amazing Ice Princess Elsa. She will be at Triangle Square all day, between 11-16.

Mum Moo & the Crow
Come and cuddle together with Mamma Mu & Crow. You will find them at Triangeltorget 11.00, 12.00, 13.30 & 14.30.

Sing-along with Funny & Humlan Djojj
Come and sing together! A sing-along with lovely classical songs where both children and adults can join in singing and dancing. The sing-along can be found at the Victoria Theatre at 11.30, 12.30 & 14.30.
