Emmi Christensson & Rickard Söderberg – A Peaceful Christmas
Two of Sweden’s most beautiful voices are reunited once again in a new Christmas concert filled with warmth, intimacy and moving music! Following last year’s success with a string of sold-out performances, the acclaimed musical theatre star Emmi Christensson and the much-loved, charismatic tenor Rickard Söderberg are once again hitting the road this winter. The programme will feature favourites from last year, as well as plenty of new material. As before, they will be joined by pianist Johan Reis, and this year the ensemble is further enhanced by cellist Anna Wallgren. Come and enjoy an atmospheric concert showcasing the most beautiful music of Christmas. Bring someone you care about and experience the magic of Christmas together!
– We both love Christmas and Christmas music, and we can’t wait to perform ‘En fridfull jul’ again this winter. We’re going to sing our hearts out!
The artist Emmi Christensson has captivated audiences in musicals such as *The Sound of Music*, *West Side Story* and *Les Misérables*. Emmi’s international breakthrough came when she enjoyed great success in the West End as Christine in *The Phantom of the Opera* at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London. Her portrayal of Christine led her back to the role in the Swedish production at Cirkus in Stockholm, with Peter Jöback as the Phantom. Emmi has also appeared in Melodifestivalen, major television productions and concerts, and moves seamlessly between musicals, her own music and large-scale stage productions.
The opera singer Rickard Söderberg trained at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen and, since graduating, has established himself as one of Sweden’s most popular opera singers. He has mainly sung roles in Baroque and Mozart operas, but has also performed in modern opera, oratorios and concerts.
With unwavering devotion, Rickard Söderberg has poured his love for the performing arts and the power of music into the Swedish audience, for whom he is not only a deeply emotional performer and a beautiful singer, but also a style icon and a humanist role model.
