Getting to Malmö City centre
Not all roads lead to Malmö City, but many do!
There are three hubs in the City that you might want to know about:
- Malmö Central Station
- Gustav Adolfs Torg
- Triangeln
Train, bus, bike or car
One of the great advantages of Malmö’s city center is its compact and connected layout, offering enjoyable experiences whether you're looking for shopping, dining, or simply a pleasant walk.
By train
If you're arriving from outside Malmö and traveling by train, you have the option to get off at either Malmö Central Station or Malmö Triangeln. Malmö Central is located in the northern part of the city center, while Triangeln is in the south. Whichever station you choose, you'll have immediate access to shopping streets, restaurants, and various services. Did you know that Malmö is just about 20 minutes by train from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup)?
By bus
With Skånetrafiken, you can travel comfortably to and within Malmö. Choose to get off at Malmö Central Station for easy access to the oldest parts of the city center, such as Stortorget, Lilla Torg, and Gamla Väster. If you prefer to be closer to the very heart of the city, the Studentgatan stop is a great option — a hub for both city and regional buses.
By bicycle
Getting around Malmö by bike is easy, with many cycle paths leading straight into the city center. You can also easily rent a bicycle or an electric scooter during your stay. Read more under rental bikes.
By car
Follow the signs to the city centre and park your car in one of the many garages in the city, for more information see Car parking.
Mobility hubs
A mobility hub is a gathering place for sharing vehicles - such as rental bikes, electric scooters and pool cars. In Malmö, there are two mobility hubs: one at Davidshallstorg and one at the Anna Mobility Centre. Look for this symbol to find a hub. Read more about the hubs here.
