Youtube sensation Dirty Loops performs live for the first time in Malmö! On Saturday 22 November they will take the stage in Saluhallen, don't miss it!
As a completely unique musical phenomenon, Dirty Loops swept in powerfully with their unmistakable hybrid of funk, jazz fusion and soul pop just over 10 years ago when they got their big break via Youtube. The old mates Jonah, Aron and Henrik initially did jazz fusion covers of pop hits from stars like Adele, Justin Bieber and Avicii, which generated millions of listens and fans all over the world.
Dirty Loops put "musicianship" in a whole new context early on, when it dawned on people that it is possible to make incredibly complex music while making it sound simple, delightful and infectiously catchy. The individual achievements of the band have generated almost cult-like status for each band member from the fans, where it has been established time and time again that Jonah, Aron and Henrik play in a league of their own with their music.
Quincy Jones took them under his wing early on and they've toured with acts like Maroon 5. Their debut album Loopified was released in 2014, followed six years later by the follow-up Phoenix, closely followed by the Cory Wong collaboration Turbo, in 2021. Today, Dirty Loop's universe is something different and entirely their own, with what many consider to be one of the world's foremost rhythm sections consisting of Henrik on electric bass and Aron on drums, fronted by Jonah's magical vocals and keyboard playing, coming together in a soundscape filled with new harmonies and melodies.
