When Kalle Moraeus met Frida Öhrn, a chemistry arose that has resulted in several successful collaborations in recent years. It is also together with Frida that he now forms the band "Banna Sona Band". On 21 November they will visit Malmö for a concert at Slagthusets Teater.
The dream of creating a brand new band has been in Kalle's mind for many years, now the time has come and all the pieces of the puzzle have fallen into place. Banna Sona Band has its world premiere in May 2025! Kalle Moraeus has hand-picked a 13-piece band, each carefully selected to create the magic that Banna Sona Band wants to achieve. With a repertoire that mixes Swedish and Irish folk music as well as Americana, this will be something we have never seen before on a Swedish stage. Some of Sweden's most talented musicians and artists are now joining forces to create a magical concert experience, we dare to promise goosebumps, joy, community and warmth in a completely unique concept. The audience will hear fantastic interpretations of everything from Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Dolly Parton, Cat Stevens to Äppelbo gånglåt and Irish folk music.
