Humana

Hos Humana second hand is about more than reusing garments. It's about creating something new, personalised and inspiring from what you already have.

Through a curated and contemporary range, styles, expressions and references are mixed to show that second hand is not just an alternative to fashion, but something that can stand on its own two feet. Customers are encouraged to explore their style, play with expressions and find garments that feel both unique and natural.

We have clients of all ages and styles, and are inspired by how they mix, interpret and create their own expressions.

How did your business start?

It started as a way to finance our development projects, and has since evolved into what it is today. We were early to see second hand as something more, not just an alternative, but as an actual challenger to the fashion industry.

Today, we offer a curated and contemporary range of second hand and vintage, mixing expressions, styles and references to create something new. For us, it's a way to wear the latest, have fun with style and at the same time not compromise the environment. A lot of what we see in fashion goes in cycles, and second hand has always had a head start.

What is your vision for the shop?

To make more people realise that second hand is not just an option, but the most fun and obvious choice, by inspiring them to explore their personal style, and showing how much you can do with styling.

How do you work with sustainability in practice?

We start from the most obvious: using what is already there. By giving garments a longer life, we reduce the need for new production, while showing that sustainability does not have to be boring. For us, it's about making it inspiring and easy to choose second hand.

What does being part of the City mean to you?

For us, it's about being accessible to more people. To be able to offer fun second hand in the city centre.

How do you select the range?

With both flair and an eye for trends, materials and brands. There should be something that stands out, something timeless and something you didn't know you needed until you saw it.

How do you see customer behaviour changing?

More and more people are starting to shop second hand because it's more fun, more personalised and often of much better quality.

What do you think distinguishes second hand from new fashion?

That it's much more vibrant. You can find unique pieces, mix and match in your own way and often pay less for better quality. It's much more fun.

What inspires you in your work?

Our customers. We have clients of all ages and styles, and are inspired by how they mix, interpret and create their own expressions.

What do you hope customers feel when they leave the shop?

That they've found something they really like, and that it feels like a really good buy, both in terms of style and in their gut.

If someone has never shopped second-hand, what would you say to them?

Do it! Come in, try it out, ask us for help. It's much easier (and more fun) than you think.
