About the composition ‘The Restless’
Villads’ work is based on the play *De Hvileløse* (2001) by Eva Littauer, which, in three scenes, tells the story of the family’s origins and its cruel downfall.
The instruments reflect the three characters in the play. The characters have different names in each scene, but play the same roles: the embittered husband (cello), the depressed wife (violin) and the young, restless son (piano).
Trio Lingo:
Simen Kraggerud (piano)
Villads Littauer Bendixen (violin),
Lara Biancalana (cello)
