Alma Söderberg has made a name for herself through her intricate interplay between movement and rhythm. A convergence of metrical thinking and emotional physicality, where one does not exclude the other. A kind of resonant, rhythmically driven dance, evocative and with a touch of humour.

In *Infinitude*, Alma Söderberg draws inspiration from her first love of dance and eternal source of inspiration: flamenco. A dance form with a unique ability to delve into and play with deep emotions. Here, joy, sorrow, happiness, rebellion and desperation are brought to life, whilst the dancers move through constantly shifting rhythmic patterns in a responsive interplay with one another and the music.

In *Infinitude*, joy is heightened by syncopation – a shift in the stress within a bar, where the emphasis falls in an unexpected place. Sorrow resonates in the voice, anger is embodied in a movement, and resistance is woven into a melody. By moving in and out of different rhythms, the group moves forward; together, they discover the ability to listen, act, dance, sing and think as a single unit.

Alma Söderberg brings these experiences and approaches to her work on *Infinétude* – her largest self-produced work to date. Together with five phenomenal artists from the contemporary European dance scene, she explores music, dance, form and pattern-making, in relation to emotions, healing and resistance – to both joy and sorrow.
