When “Younger” and “Hard Time” became hits, something changed in the international music scene. It wasn’t just songs topping the charts; it was a voice that walked into the room and took it by storm. Seinabo Sey’s deep, soulful tone carried both authority and fragility, a presence and a self-assurance that felt inescapable. With hindsight, it’s hard to imagine it could have turned out any other way. Yet it was clear from the outset that the confines of commercial pop were too restrictive. Seinabo Sey has always navigated by a different compass, and on the album *The One After Me* this became clearer than ever. There, the tempo was slowed, her voice was allowed to float in a more meditative space, and the soundscape opened up to something greater than the present: flashes of Swedish folk music, a hurdy-gurdy emerging from the mist, and melodies that unfolded slowly, as if searching for a different kind of truth than the immediate one. It was an album that dared to linger in the unfinished, in the cosmic quest, in the space between then and now.

On 13 March, Seinabo Sey will release her fourth album, “Välkommen hem” – her most personal and poetic work to date, and the first on which she sings exclusively in Swedish. A choice of language that some might perceive as risky, but which for her is more a means of delving deeper. A way of getting closer to what she actually wants to describe, of unravelling the words in her own everyday language and letting her vision permeate every detail of the production. Through the singles “Hitta någon”, “Slott av luft”, “Gudarna”, “Crazy” and “Yasins bön”, the world of the album begins to emerge – a place where the landscapes of childhood meet the longings of adulthood, and where her voice, one of the most beautiful instruments we have, is allowed to unfold to its fullest. This autumn, she is embarking on an extensive concert hall tour, kicking off in Copenhagen on 1 October and concluding in Skellefteå on 5 December – a tour that places her where she has always belonged: right at the centre of the room.

“After many years of touring, I now have more music than ever. I’m really looking forward to weaving my back catalogue together with my new Swedish album and giving you a glimpse into my everyday life. Together with some incredible musicians, I’m looking forward to treating you to a tour that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!”, says Seinabo about the upcoming tour.
