The Umbilicals draw on the energy of live performances and the experience of going to the cinema, combining them into a completely new show that unfolds on stage and on the big screen simultaneously. The result is unlike anything they’ve done before and unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The phrase ‘blow your mind’ takes on a whole new meaning here. The Distraction encourages your screen addiction.

More about The Umbilical Brothers:
The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy sensation. Their unique blend of mind-bending comedy and back-breaking physical comedy has taken the world’s favourite Australian comedy duo to 40 countries – from stadiums where they’ve performed as support acts for Robin Williams to stadiums where they’ve performed as support acts for *NSYNC.

Named as two of Entertainment Weekly’s 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment, they have appeared on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert*, following James Brown at Woodstock ’99, and performing before the Queen of England. Their international performances have included a year-long off-Broadway run, during which they received rave reviews from The New York Times and a New York Drama Desk nomination. Their awards include a Helpmann Award for Comedy Performance of the Year, the Edinburgh Critics’ Choice Award and a couple of BAFTAs. Younger fans and stoners know them from *The Upside Down Show*, which they created with Sesame Workshop and which won them an Emmy and a Logie.

They haven’t just broken the rules of theatre; they’ve invented a whole new theatrical multiverse. Incredible human performances meet special-effects wizardry. It feels so much like magic, you’ll want to burn them at the stake.
