We’ve told loads of stories in our songs. To be honest, they don’t really tie in with one another, so now we’ve tried to take a more cohesive approach…

Torsson, one of our oldest and most beloved rock bands, are known for songs such as ‘Klippans centrum’, ‘Det spelades bättre boll’, ‘Jag minns en gammal bil’, ‘Öresundstwist’, ‘Volleyboll-Molly’ and many other classics. This year, they are celebrating their 50th anniversary as a band and are therefore embarking on a major tour together with the actor Per Lasson to perform the musical “Wanting to but not being able to – The story of Gunnar, Axel and Lars-Erik Nyman”.

It has now been 50 years since Det fjärde bästa bandet i Lund played their first concert at Lilla Teatern, in Lund itself. ‘Att vilja men inte kunna’ is a play on the title of the band’s first album from 1980, which is called ‘Att kunna men inte vilja’. The narrative of the show is based on a fascinating story written by Torsson’s frontman, singer and songwriter, Bo Åkerström. It is a story that weaves together many of Torsson’s songs and lyrics, centred around the lives of three individuals.

The musical performance is a two-act event. Per Lasson narrates the story and Torsson performs his classic songs, as well as several new songs composed especially for this occasion. All is accompanied by images on a big screen. The narrative of the show is based on a fascinating story written by Torsson’s frontman, singer and songwriter Bo Åkerström.
