From a few hundred followers to nearly 100,000 in just a few months. In 2026, Swedish folk music is more popular than ever, and the name on everyone’s lips is that of the young folk singer William Sundman Sääf. He is now embarking on a tour that will take him to Malmö for a concert at Slagthusets Teater on 21 October.
In April, William Sundman Sääf took to the stage at Södra Teatern – a venue that is as natural a choice as it is iconic in this context. This is where giants such as Evert Taube, Cornelis Vreeswijk and Fred Åkerström have given historic performances, and it is no coincidence that his name is mentioned in the same breath as theirs. The concert sold out immediately, as did his concert at Stora Teatern in May.
