In the stand-up show “Citizen Nûjen”, Özz Nûjen explores the question of what it actually means to be a citizen in Sweden today. What are our rights, and what are our obligations? And what does it mean to be a citizen in a country where rights are being called into question and where citizenship is no longer a given for everyone?

With his unique blend of infectious humour and sharp political satire, Özz tackles the political landscape ahead of the upcoming Swedish election. He scrutinises whether election promises have been broken, investigates which politicians have made grand promises but delivered little, and does not hesitate to highlight the parties’ betrayal of their own voters. No one is spared his sharp gaze – all parties in the Riksdag can expect their fair share of Özz’s scathing humour.
