Right in the heart of central Malmö, Strawberry is opening its smallest hotel in Sweden at the end of the year. Home Hotel Baltzar will not only offer 45 newly renovated hotel rooms, but the crowning glory is the four 45 square metre tower suites overlooking Malmö's rooftops.
A completely renovated hotel with 45 rooms and a restaurant opens in the middle of Baltzarsgatan in central Malmö. A breathing space when you need it most. The hotel will be Strawberry's smallest hotel in Sweden but with the greatest ambitions to become the city's most cosy hotel.
- As soon as you hear the name and see the pictures, you know this is going to be an iconic hotel. It goes straight to your heart and leaves a very warm feeling of having come home. It feels great that we can now expand our business in Malmö by adding Home Hotel Baltzar," says Petter Stordalen, owner of Strawberry.
The hotel is located in the centre of the most attractive shopping and restaurant areas of Malmö and only a few minutes' walk from the Central Station, Lilla Torg and Slottsträdgården.
The expansion in Malmö takes place through a franchise agreement between MJN Holding AB and Strawberry. The property that houses the hotel has been completely renovated for some time and is planned to be completed so that the new hotel can open at the end of 2025.
- It feels really fantastic to be able to bring the property to life by carefully renovating and refining the rooms with respect for the history and soul of the building. When we finish at the end of the year, our ambition is to offer Malmö's most cosy hotel. It's also great that we're doing this in collaboration with Strawberry and their Home Hotel chain, which we know is extremely popular among hotel guests," says the new hotel's hotel director Göran Ivarsson.
The property owner is Lomma Tegelfabrik.

The hotel will be part of the newly relaunched Home Hotel chain. A hotel chain known not only for always offering its guests an exciting story based on the past of the hotel building or location, but also for the fact that the room rate also includes afternoon coffee and dinner. Home Hotel Baltzar will be Strawberry's sixth hotel in Malmö.
